SNFSC Announcements Mailing List

To improve the efficiency of the Club’s communications, we are introducing an email list system. This will be the preferred method by which the committee will get messages out to the members, although facebook may also still be used

  • On Sunday 8thFebruary, we will ask you to make sure we have your correct email address on Club records
  • During the following week, the email list will be set up. You will receive a message asking if you want to join the list; please click the link in the email to confirm your email list membership.

o The message will be from “Mailing List Manager

o The subject will be “Request for confirmation of subscription to the mailing list [announcement@snfsc.org.uk]”

  • The Club secretary will use this list to send Club messages to the members.

This list will only be used for announcements relating to the Club, and only the Club secretary can post to the list. You will not be bombarded with emails because of it!

If you find that you are not getting messages from the list, please check your Spam folder to make sure that the messages are not being swept up by an over-zealous spam filter.

We are making this change because facebook is not proving to be reliable enough for official Club communications.

If you have any problems getting onto the list, please contact Alan Potter (webmaster@snfsc.org.uk).

Megan at Sheffield Ice Rink

More congratulations to club member Megan Carroll, who competed in the British Solo Ice Dance Championships in Sheffield, which ran from 30-Jun to 04-Jul this year.

Megan came a fantastic fifth in her age group for the whole of the UK in Free Dance, and eighth overall (again for her age group – juvenile ladies)!

Not only did Megan do a great job in the championships, but she had a guest coach for the day – none other than Dancing On Ice star Mark Hanretty.

Megan had a great couple of days in Sheffield, and has done the name of Stirling New Figure Skating Club proud.

Once again we say “Well done Megan!”
