2018-05 Spring Gala

Our 2018 Easter/Spring Gala was held on Friday 11th May 2018, and was a great success for all of our skaters and coaches. This was the first time we have held an evening event at one of our new sessions, and it was fantastic to see so many family and friends come along and support our skaters’ performances. Excellent routines from all the skaters taking part, for some it was their first public performance, so a massive well done everyone. Thank you also to everyone for coming along and helping us all have such a great time!

During the gala, we also had a raffle with some fantastic prizes to be won. Thanks to everyone who donated and/or bought tickets, and well done to all the winners. An extra special thanks also to Helen who organised and conducted the raffle which raised over £450.

As always, on the ice our skaters excelled themselves. Here are a few sample photographs from the event, big thanks to Alan Potter and Lee McAdam for taking the On-Ice Shots and John Sneddon for setting up his studio.

Alan has made his photos available online. Everyone can freely download the low-resolution version from this address :

(password is “Stirling” – no quotes but you need a capital letter ‘S’)

You are welcome to use them for Facebook and so forth. The low resolution pictures are good for social media and viewing on your phone, but they are not high enough resolution to print well. If you want to get prints made, you can download the full-size, high resolution version of the pictures for £3.50 each. Or, you can order prints direct from the web site – the web site gives you instructions on how to order prints, keyrings, fridge magnets and all sorts of other stuff. Please get in touch with Alan at alan@stagepics.co.uk if you have any questions.

Lee’s photos are also now available from this address :

John will have his studio photos available to view at the rink on Friday & Sunday this week. Sample image below :

The event was kindly filmed by Graeme Kerr and DVDs can now be purchased, with proceeds going to towards SNFSC club funds. For anyone who has pre-ordered, your disc is now available to collect at club sessions in The Peak from a committee member on door duty or you can send an email direct to secretary@snfsc.org.uk to arrange a suitable date/time for collection.
