Club coach Gemma Stark today carried the Queen’s Baton through Airdrie!

The Queen’s Baton Relay sees the baton being carried through towns and cities the length of Scotland in the final stages of the build-up to the 2014  Commonwealth Games.

Anyone who missed Gemma today might want to know that it is coming to Stirling on Sunday 6th July.  Not only that, but The Peak is having a day of sporting celebrations to welcome it – more information from The Peak’s website at this link.

6th July – Club Session Is ON!

Good news!

We had previously been told by The Peak that there would be no Club Ice on 6th July because of a competition booking.

The ice will now be available on 6th July, that is it will be a normal club session.

Megan Wins!

Another fantastic result for club member Megan Carroll, who won the Skate Southern Ice Dance Open 2014, At Alexandra Palace in London!  Well done!

Megan now has an anxious wait to see whether she qualifies for the British Championships – NISA maintains a league table for skaters and the top twenty skaters from each category qualify (Megan competes in the Juvenile category).  Final positions in the league will be decided by the results of a competition in Streatham on 23rd May.

All of us in SNFSC are keeping our fingers crossed for you, Megan!

Welcome to a work in progress…

Hi,

I’m Alan Potter (Jenni’s dad), and I am building this site.

This is going to be the new home page of the Stirling New Figure Skating Club.  Please feel free to have a look around, and let me know what you think.  I am developing the site just now, and I would love to know what you think of it.

What would you like more of?  What would you like less of?  Clearly there is some boring stuff that just has to be here, but if there is anything that is missing and you would like to see, please let me know.

You can contact me by using the Contact Form on the web site – it will be good to get that tested out too.  Or come and chat to me about it – I’m normally found hanging around the barrier or possibly playing music.
